New Holland, Pa., September 1, 2026 — New Holland North America continues to expand its WORKMASTER™ compact tractor series with the addition of three new models for 2027: the WORKMASTER™ 45C, 50C and 55C. These three models were designed with an operator-first focus on greater tractor performance, enhanced comfort and ergonomics, upgraded loader and backhoe attachments and connectivity-ready capabilities. This expansion also marks New Holland’s further growth into the compact utility segment.

"The WORKMASTER 45C, 50C and 55C were designed for customers who need more power, more lift capacity and more versatility without stepping into a traditional utility tractor. We call this range of WORKMASTERs ‘compact utility’ because they give owners the power and confidence to take on bigger jobs, while not losing sight of the size or simplicity of the tractors."
Built for the Jobs That Keep Operations Moving
Compact tractors continue to play an important role across North America, serving everyone from livestock and hay producers and rural property owners to municipalities and landscape contractors. The WORKMASTER 45C (47 engine hp), 50C (52 engine hp) and 55C (57 engine hp) were developed to support a wide range of tasks.
With available front-end loaders, rear-mounted implements and backhoe attachments, WORKMASTER 45C, 50C and 55C tractors are perfect for applications like:
- Material handling and loader work
- Rotary cutting and finish mowing
- Livestock feeding
- Property maintenance
- Excavation and light construction tasks
- General chores around farms, acreages and municipalities
Turbocharged 3-cylinder, 1.9-liter engines provide up to 49 PTO horsepower, while the tractors' 2,320-pound rear hitch lift capacity at 24 inches behind the ball ends allows operators to confidently manage a wide range of implements and attachments. Customers have a choice between a 12x12 synchronized gear transmission or a 3-speed servo-assisted hydrostatic transmission (S-HST). An electric cruise control kit can be added to the HST models, too.
Designed Around Operator Comfort and Confidence
The expanded WORKMASTER C Series introduces a redesigned operator environment focused on improving comfort throughout long days of operation. Ergonomics and safety were key focuses in the design of the WORKMASTER 45C, 50C and 55C’s operator stations. The goal: Ensure an ideal operator experience with noticeable upgrades from the moment the operator steps onto the tractor.
The workstation features a wide platform, improved grab rails, suspended pedals, an enhanced instrument cluster and a comfortable seating position designed to accommodate any operator. Customers may also select an optional rubber floor mat for additional comfort.
For operators who spend significant time performing loader work, the optional servo-assisted hydrostatic transmission reduces pedal effort compared with traditional mechanical hydrostatic systems, helping improve comfort during repetitive forward-and-reverse applications.
More Versatility Through Smarter Attachment Integration
The new LC Series loaders were developed alongside the new WORKMASTER tractors to create an integrated tractor-loader solution for customers who rely on material handling as a core part of their operation.
The loaders feature simultaneous lift-and-curl functionality for smooth operation while helping operators complete their tasks more efficiently. Maximum lift height of the 270LC is 110 inches (9.1 feet) and the lift capacity is 1,697 pounds (500mm forward the pivot pin).
Customers seeking additional versatility can also equip the tractors with the new 380BC backhoe, featuring multiple bucket options, a mechanical thumb option and a dedicated mounting system designed specifically for the platform. The 380BC features four bucket sizes for customers to choose from (12, 16 (this size comes standard), 18 and 24 inches), each with an 8-foot maximum digging length.
Each tractor features two hydraulic pumps that provide ample flow to properly operate attachments. This ensures uninterrupted power steering, regardless of the hydraulic load of operation. For customers who need rear remotes to operate attachments, these tractors come with a new stackable rear remote valve slice design, making it easier to tailor the rear remotes to the operator’s needs. A live third-function option kit allows users to operate grapples, 4-in-1 buckets and other advanced hydraulic attachments.
The Value of Connectivity
All WORKMASTER C Series tractors are telematics-ready from the factory. Customers can add the CM100 modem and connect to FieldOps™ to access machine tracking, geofencing, machine alerts, preventative maintenance notifications and operating history. Connectivity gives customers access to precision connectivity tools while maintaining the value-focused simplicity that many compact tractor buyers prefer.
Availability
The new WORKMASTER 45C, 50C and 55C compact tractors are now available for order through New Holland dealers, with delivery expected to begin in late 2026.
