Judges of one of the design industry’s most coveted prizes, the BIG SEE Product Design Awards, have recognized the advanced styling of the new STEYR® Cervus CVT 360-435hp tractors, with a category win for the range that marks the second BIG SEE success for STEYR in just two years.
Launched in 2018 as a regional initiative to explore the creative potential of south-east Europe, the BIG SEE Awards have since grown to become globally recognized. Today, BIG SEE is a cultural and business platform that connects original creative achievements in product design globally.
Previewed at Agritechnica 2025, the Cervus CVT is a new tractor range manufactured at the brand’s St. Valentin plant in Austria, and is STEYR’s first 400hp+ range. A ground-up new design features an 8.7-litre FPT Cursor 9 engine and new 4x2 range 60kph CVT, that combines high power in a compact package for maximum flexibility. This makes it equally suited to work ranging from ballasted heavy draft cultivations to front/rear hitch tasks or unballasted high payload transport, all aided by optional central tire inflation. The Cervus CVT also features a new cab that is among the quietest in its class, with operator comfort further enhanced by semi-active cab suspension and a new independent suspended front axle. All of this is packed within distinctive styling that also features high-intensity lighting and permits easy service access.
“It’s great to see the new Cervus CVT mark yet another win for STEYR in the BIG SEE Product Design awards,” says Franz Josef Silber, head of product marketing at STEYR.
“Creative yet practical design has always been a STEYR hallmark, and we are really looking forward to bringing the style and substance of the new Cervus CVT to market.”
