At Interforst 2026, the international trade fair for forestry and forest technology taking place in Munich, Germany, from October 15-18, 2026, STEYR® will showcase tractors for a wide range of forestry applications, from compact utility models to high-horsepower machines for demanding operations at stand FS.1109/1. The exhibition will also highlight STEYR's commitment to the future of forestry through its collaboration with AGDW – Die Waldeigentümer and its cooperation with FPT, a global leader manufacturer of powertrain solutions, focusing on education, community engagement and sustainable forest management.
Forestry Solutions from Compact to High-Horsepower Models
Visitors to the STEYR stand will see a broad cross-section of the brand's current product portfolio, including the Plus, Expert CVT, Profi CVT, Impuls CVT and Cervus CVT, all equipped with FPT Stage V engines ranging from 3.6 to 8.7 litres. Together, these models demonstrate how STEYR supports forestry businesses, contractors, municipalities and landowners with solutions tailored to different operating requirements.
Three tractors will participate in the Action Area, performing real-world forestry tasks. A municipal-specification tractor equipped with a MekraLang AI-assisted camera system will also be on display. The system uses AI-based vehicle and pedestrian detection to identify objects around the tractor and highlights them on the operator's screen with clearly marked visual indicators, helping to improve situational awareness, operational efficiency and safety.
Dedicated Forestry Equipment Takes Centre Stage
Among the key exhibits will be a Cervus CVT demonstrating its suitability for demanding forestry applications, including operations such as wood chipping that can benefit from a reverse-drive system. A forestry cab demonstrator will illustrate this future capability. The line-up is further strengthened by an Impuls CVT, highlighting STEYR's versatility across a broad range of forestry applications and customer requirements.

Promoting Climate Awareness Through the Wald Klima-Klasse Initiative
Alongside its product presentation, STEYR will highlight the progress of the Wald Klima-Klasse initiative, delivered together with the German Forest Owners Association AGDW – Die Waldeigentümer and FPT. The initiative demonstrates how cooperation between forestry, industry and education can support climate-resilient forests while inspiring young people to engage with sustainable forest management.
Following the successful and widely appreciated planting activities in 2025, which saw 75 students from three schools across Germany plant 1,800 trees, the project is entering its next phase in 2026, focusing on long-term implementation and broader adoption across Germany. Representatives of AGDW and the Initiative Group of Forestry Cooperatives (IK) within AGDW will present the project's achievements at Interforst 2026 and discuss biodiversity protection and environmental education.

As part of the initiative, student groups from FOS Lindau and Realschule Lindenberg, which have already successfully completed tree-planting activities through the Wald.Klima-Klasse project during the course of the year, will visit Interforst 2026. The experience will provide students with direct insight into modern forestry technology and sustainable forest management.
