Tractor takes top prize at Las-Expo forestry fair element of Agrotech exhibition / Awarded for package of features designed specifically to make forest operations easier and safer / Model also recognised with distinction in awards for Agrotech show /
One of the top prizes granted at Poland’s main forestry equipment exhibition has been awarded to the forestry-specified version of the STEYR® 4130 Expert CVT tractor, with recognition of the package of features created to make forestry work easier, safer and more economical. Part of the Agrotech show, the Las-Expo forestry fair for the forest and wood processing equipment industry is held at Kielce in southern Poland. This year’s 22nd Las Expo event and the 28th edition of Agrotech Fair saw a total of around 450 global companies exhibiting across the two shows. From multiple entries of new machine developments for the awards, STEYR took a Las-Expo gold medal for the forestry-specific version of the Expert 4130 CVT.
Benefits of CVT brought to smaller STEYR forestry models
By bringing the ease-of-use advantages of continuously-variable transmission down into the 110-140hp (max) sector, the Expert CVT provides forestry businesses needing a smaller tractor the benefits of a transmission previously only available on larger STEYR forestry models.This was a key factor in nominating the STEYR Expert CVT for these awards. It adds to the established range of STEYR forestry features, which can include a four- or six-column forestry frame with branch guard, protective roof and rear window grilles, a solid floor plate and side panels for protection of the engine, transmission, rear axle and the fuel and hydraulic oil tanks, removable rear-view mirrors and adjustable exit steps, plus forestry tires with reinforced forest rims incorporating valve protection.
