The Salesianos Padre Aramburu Private Vocational Training Centre in Burgos and New Holland have entered into a strategic partnership to promote technical training in agricultural machinery.

The initiative forms part of the TechPro² programme, which since 2008 has trained more than 2,300 young people worldwide in sectors such as automotive, industrial vehicles and agricultural machinery.

CNH, and more specifically its brand New Holland, together with Salesianos Padre Aramburu of Burgos, has introduced in Spain the technical training programme for agricultural machinery aimed at vocational education students known as TechPro². This initiative offers young students an opportunity for professional growth and future employment in the agricultural sector.

TechPro² was launched in May 2008 as a result of an agreement between Fiat Group Automobiles and CNOS-FAP. In 2011, Iveco’s industrial vehicles division joined the TechPro² programme, which now collaborates with more than 50 schools across Europe, Africa and Latin America. The objective of the programme is to train highly qualified technicians, provide students with professional opportunities, and strengthen aftersales support within this industrial sector.

The Salesianos Padre Aramburu Vocational Training Centre in Burgos has extensive experience in vocational education and hosts more than 1,000 students across its intermediate and advanced programmes. Thanks to its practical, employment-oriented approach, it has become one of the regional benchmarks, with most graduates finding employment in less than six months. The collaboration with New Holland reinforces its commitment to modern education aligned with the real needs of the agricultural sector, which increasingly requires advanced technical know-how and sustainable solutions.

The official launch of this major initiative took place during the inauguration ceremony held on 9 October at the centre’s facilities, attended by local authorities, company representatives and members of the school community. Representing New Holland, Daniela Ropolo, CNH Head of EMEA Sustainable Development Initiatives, spoke during the event, highlighting “the great satisfaction I feel in being able to develop this ambitious training programme in a country like Spain, which actively promotes education and employment for young people in the agricultural sector.”

Also present at the ceremony were Ángel Pérez, Head of Technical Training for CNH Italy and Iberia, and Javier Lodares, Business Director for Case IH, New Holland and STEYR Iberia, who remarked on “the importance and weight of agriculture within the Group and within Spain,” and emphasised that “TechPro² not only trains young people, but also gives them access to the knowledge needed to support their integration into the labour market, where there is strong demand for agricultural mechanics and field technicians.”

The agreement represents a significant step forward in the training of future professionals in the agricultural and maintenance sectors. It includes the supply of state-of-the-art tractors and equipment, as well as technical training for teaching staff delivered by the company’s specialist engineers. This will allow students to familiarise themselves with and work directly on innovative tools similar to those currently used on leading agricultural farms worldwide.

The programme combines theoretical and practical training and aims to enhance both students’ professional opportunities and the quality of specialised technical service across the dealer networks of the Group’s brands.
