- The 2022 Xinjiang Agricultural Machinery Expo has been held in Urumqi, China | Case IH has launched its new China IV emissions standards machinery, including new Puma and Optum tractors, and the Axial
Summertime in Urumqi, China, was the time and place to see Case IH’s latest machinery launches.
The 2022 Xinjiang Agricultural Machinery Expo welcomed more than 400 participating companies, exhibiting more than 10,000 machines. Among the hot new machines on display from Case IH were the Axial-Flow 4099 combine harvester with 5508 corn header, as well as new Optum and Puma series tractors.
The new Case IH models deliver industry-leading high power, reliability and efficiency, and comply with the Chinese National IV emissions standards being introduced later this year.
Superior harvesting with new Axial-Flow
The Axial-Flow 4099 combine harvester has an efficient 6.7-liter FPT engine. The six-cylinder engine provides strong power, now up to a maximum of 260 horsepower to meet more operational needs.
The patented Axial-Flow rotor significantly reduces grain loss and cracked grain. Changing from one crop harvesting configuration to another is simple and convenient. The four-auger bed system, designed to move grain more efficiently, helps maximise cleaning sieve throughput which provides cleaner havesting for a wide variety of grains. Case IH’s cross-flow fan technology delivers better cleaning performance and higher grain harvest quality. The super-large 6500-liter grain tank can meet the harvesting needs of most farms, ensuring higher harvesting efficiency.
Aiming at the unique planting patterns and characteristics of corn in Xinjiang, the Case IH Axial-Flow 4099 was displayed with the 5508 corn header, which features a low loss rate, superior feeding and strong row spacing adaptability.
Efficient and versatile tractors fulfil every demand
Case IH Optum tractors offer the best size and weight to power ratio in the 270-300 horsepower segment. Optum tractors are specially designed for medium and large operations for use in deep tillage and other applications. The constantly variable transmission (CVT) maximises fuel economy, which can be used in mowing, baling, ground preparation and so on, to exert the best performance, efficiency and reliability.
Meanwhile the Case IH Puma 2504 CVT tractor has a rated power of 250 horsepower. It has an FPT NEF engine featuring highly efficient second-generation SCR (selective catalytic reduction) technology, and fully meets the National IV emission standards. Case IH has extend its Puma CVT range up to 250 horsepower.
The Puma’s hydraulic flow rate is up to 150 liters/min with four electronic remotes as standard. Strong lift capacity, high pump flow, and CVT transmission provide the best features for the Chinese market.
Case IH also displayed a PowerSteer autonomous driving system at its Xinjiang Agricultural Machinery Expo site. Since its launch, it has attracted the attention of many agricultural machinery users due to its cost effective performance, simple installation, easy control and setting, accurate positioning, support for Beidou, GPS, GLONASS and other multi-satellite navigation systems—and the accuracy can reach 2.5cm.
During the exhibition, a conference forum was also held with experts and scholars gathering to share information on topics such as stabilising grain, improving cotton, strengthening fruit, and revitalising livestock to promote the high-quality and efficient upgrade of agricultural mechanisation in Xinjiang. The discussions also included the development of western agriculture.
Case IH staff and dealers were on-hand to answer questions and provide information about their financing, technical support and professional service solutions to give customers confidence in the field.
