Introduction of the Hayliner and Limited Edition Small Square Baler:

To celebrate this milestone New Holland Agriculture in Australia will release a limited edition for all model year 2021 small square balers, along with a new model, the BC5070 Hayliner. The Hayliner adds additional features to the line-up, focusing on the large scale contractor & commercial operator.

The Hayliner has an additional 300mm length bale chamber, thicker chamber walls and 4 way hydroformatic bale density system all ensuring consistent bale weight and bale length which is a crucial part of baling. The baler offers larger tyre configuration and larger twine storage capacity.

History

The first New Holland baler Model 75 arrived in Australia under a war time government lending lease in 1945. However, the foundations on which New Holland Australia was built commenced the following year, in 1946 Doring Implements imported and retailed six Model 76 balers. By the end of 1949 over sixty Model 76 balers had been sold around the nation. In the early 1950's New Holland released the high performing Model 77, approximately 175 balers were sold over of three years. In the mid 1950's New Holland commenced Australian manufactured products including small square balers with Australian production peaking in 1967 with 1,275 Model S69 and Model 281 produced with a market share of 60%. New Holland today still holds a strong position in the global marketplace with a rich history and unique design stemming back decades.

Product Segment Manager for Fodder Conservation, Sune Nielsen said, "New Holland is excited to release the new Model 5070 Hayliner into the Australian market adding a new chapter to the longstanding success of these balers. The limited addition model year 2021 small square balers will be marked with special anniversary decals". Sune continued, "the unique design principle has not changed too much over the decades, the side delivery pickup offers many advantages, visibility over the pickup and feed rate is most important to maintain a consistent flow of material into the bale chamber. Large, high windrows are no problem for the baler as the tractor travels alongside the windrow so there's no chance of product getting caught under the tractor. Side delivery also means the crop is cut neatly either side of the bale by the plunger knifes, and the "bale" itself is a good shape. New Holland's long-standing dealer network also have many years of experience, and service and parts to backup are key to New Holland's success now and into the future. New Holland looks forward to new and exciting products coming our way in the next few years to meet and exceed our customers' expectations."
