For more than 125 years, New Holland has supported farmers with technology, solutions and services built around productive agriculture. The Speedrower 1 Series continues that heritage by pairing the iron haymakers rely on with precision technology, operator-focused design and dealer support that help producers manage the realities of modern hay and forage production.

“When New Holland launched the Speedrower PLUS Series in 2022, we said it was the building block for the future,” says Jordan Milewski, self-propelled windrower product marketing manager for New Holland North America. “The Speedrower 1 Series represents the next evolution of that vision by bringing together more power, more productivity, more performance and more precision technology to help growers make smarter decisions both in and out of the field.”

Built for Narrow Harvest Windows and High-Productivity Haymaking

The Speedrower 1 Series is designed for the pace and pressure of commercial hay and forage operations. The lineup includes four models ranging from 161 to 308 peak horsepower, including the Speedrower 301 with 285 rated horsepower and 308 peak horsepower.

With the SensiDrive drive-by-wire system, the Speedrower 1 Series reaches field speeds up to 20 mph and transport speeds up to 30 mph, delivering a 10–20% improvement over competitive windrowers and helping growers move faster between fields and maximize each cutting window.

A new 150-gallon fuel tank increases runtime by up to 43% compared with previous models. The larger tank gives the Speedrower 301 capacity to operate for a 10-hour workday without refueling. A redesigned cooling package with a larger rear screen, expanded cooling surface area and a hydraulic variable-speed reversing fan helps maintain machine performance in demanding field conditions.

The cooling system includes a fan reversing function with three operating scenarios: a five-second temperature failsafe reversal if the engine reaches 203°F; a customizable timer that automatically clears the screen when the PTO is active; and a manual Power Clean mode that activates a 20-second reversing cycle when the PTO is off.

Precision Technology That Turns Mowing into Actionable Field Insight

The Speedrower 1 Series introduces Relative Yield Monitoring integrated with FieldOps connectivity. Relative Yield Monitoring generates real-time relative yield maps during harvest, helping growers make in-cab decisions such as adjusting ground speed in lighter crops or managing cut quality in heavier forage.

Field data is automatically captured and stored in FieldOps, allowing growers to compare performance across fields and seasons. That information can help guide future agronomic decisions, including irrigation management, nutrient planning, pest scouting and zone-based soil sampling. FieldOps connectivity is included for life on all Speedrower 1 Series without recurring subscription fees. Customers are encouraged to activate their account upon delivery of their machine to gain access to their data.

“For many hay and forage growers, this level of field data visibility simply hasn’t existed or been accessible historically,” Milewski says. “Relative Yield Monitoring and FieldOps help take the guesswork out of managing a field by providing a clearer understanding of what’s happening acre by acre and even more granularly.”

Operator Control, Floatation and Compatibility Designed Around the Workday

The Speedrower 1 Series features the AutoFloat Header Floatation System. The system continuously monitors and adjusts floatation pressure to help maintain more consistent header ground pressure while reducing the need for manual adjustments. Operators can calibrate and fine-tune floatation from the cab using the IntelliView IV PLUS display, which features a larger 12.1-inch screen and larger icons.

Additional operator-focused features include Comfort Ride cab suspension and Terraglide rear axle suspension to improve ride quality and reduce fatigue during long mowing days.

All Speedrower 1 Series models are compatible with Durabine PLUS disc heads, Haybine® sickle heads and Honey Bee® WSC draper heads. Auto Header Identification remembers previous floatation and speed settings when switching between heads. The Speedrower 161 also introduces a new variable displacement header drive system that allows for disc cutting with the Durabine 413 PLUS disc header and enhances sickle head performance.

The new models also feature refreshed styling, including a black frame, silver rims and bold blue model numbering that visually distinguish the Speedrower 1 Series from prior generations.
