The harvesting revolution is here: the first New Holland CR11 machines debut in Spanish fields

Release Date: 21 Jul 2025
CR11 in Spain 6
  • This is the largest and most powerful harvesting model ever built by New Holland for cereal crops.

  • With a groundbreaking design and productivity and efficiency that are hard to surpass, the CR11 ushers in a new era of harvesting.

Navarra and Teruel witness progress.

In the middle of the harvesting season, two brand‑new New Holland combines have begun writing a new chapter in the history of Spanish agriculture. These are the first New Holland CR11 harvesters to operate in Spain—true masterpieces of agricultural engineering, designed to transform large‑scale cereal harvesting.

With their arrival, Spain joins the pioneering group of European countries that have placed their trust in the most advanced machine ever designed by New Holland, first unveiled globally at Agritechnica 2023. This machine reaches unprecedented levels of productivity and anticipates the challenges of a modern, sustainable and profitable agriculture.

A historic milestone for agricultural machinery in Spain

The sale by official New Holland dealers Maquinaria Agrícola Plumed in Teruel and Pedro Azpeitia in Navarra, together with the commissioning of these two units at major farming operations in each province, represents a true milestone. For the first time, machines of this scale—designed for large areas and maximum‑volume harvesting—are operating in Spanish fields.

The new CR11 is not simply a new combine harvester. It is a statement of intent: maximum capacity, virtually zero grain losses, full automation, outstanding energy efficiency and respect for the soil. A concentration of top‑level technology serving the modern farmer.

The evolution of the CR: from a world record to a new era

Inspired by the legendary CR10.90, which has held the world record for wheat harvested in eight hours (797.66 tonnes) since 2014, the new CR11 represents a natural evolution of that technical achievement, incorporating major improvements across every stage of the harvesting process.

Its FPT Cursor 16 engine delivers 775 hp in a longitudinal configuration. Together with its 61 cm (24‑inch) Twin Rotor™ threshing system, 20,000‑litre grain tank and an unloading rate of 210 litres per second, the CR11 sits at the very pinnacle of global agricultural productivity.

Technology at the farmer’s service: precision, intelligence and total control

The CR11 does more than harvest—it thinks, analyses and decides. Thanks to next‑generation IntelliSense™ automation, the machine automatically adapts to each field and crop type, continuously optimising settings to achieve maximum performance with minimal losses.

Its innovative Twin Clean cleaning system—unique in the industry—features a fully automated dual‑sieve cleaning shoe, ensuring maximum cleaning capacity both on flat ground and slopes. The result is cleaner grain, minimal losses and maximum utilisation of every hectare.

In addition, the NutriSense™ system, equipped with an NIR (near‑infrared) sensor, enables real‑time nutritional analysis of the grain, providing data on protein, starch, moisture and other key parameters. This is a vital tool for precise agronomic decision‑making and comprehensive farm management.

Designed for excellence, ready for the future

The CR11 was developed at New Holland’s prestigious Harvesting Centre of Excellence in Zedelgem, Belgium, where tradition and innovation have coexisted for decades. This combine not only harvests crops—it embodies more than 50 years of Twin Rotor™ technology development, celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025.

Every detail has been carefully designed with the operator in mind, from the redesigned cab offering enhanced comfort and visibility, to the new IntelliView™ 12 display, which centralises all key functions. This is complemented by IntelliSteer™ automatic guidance, remote connectivity, and a drivetrain layout with 25% fewer components, improving efficiency and reducing the risk of breakdowns.

A new era for Spanish agriculture

The arrival of the first two CR11 units in Spain is more than just a commercial launch. It marks the beginning of a new era in harvesting, where technology, efficiency and sustainability come together to meet the demands of a farming sector that no longer settles for traditional performance.

With these first two machines already at work in Navarra and Teruel, Spanish agriculture takes a decisive step towards the cutting edge of European technology, investing in machinery capable of tackling today’s challenges and anticipating those of tomorrow.

New Holland thus reaffirms its commitment to Spanish farmers, offering solutions that not only increase farm profitability, but also help protect the most valuable resource of all: the land.
