Jim Nickolas is Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at CNH. Mr. Nickolas is responsible for the Company’s corporate financial activities, and for the global finance organization, which includes accounting, financial planning & analysis, tax, investor relations, treasury, and corporate development.
Jim Nickolas has over 30 years of experience in corporate finance, M&A, business strategy, tax and investment banking. He joined CNH as CFO in May 2025, becoming a member of the Company’s Global Leadership Team.
Prior to joining CNH, Mr. Nickolas served as CFO and Executive Vice President at Martin Marietta, a US-based supplier of building materials, from August 2017. From 2008 until his departure in 2017, he held roles of increasing seniority at the construction multinational Caterpillar. His most recent position was as Head of both Corporate Development and Caterpillar Ventures. Previously, he served as CFO of the Resource Industries Segment; CFO of Caterpillar Global Mining; Director of Integration; and Senior Transaction Manager for Caterpillar Strategic Investments. From 2001 to mid-2008, Mr. Nickolas progressed to roles of increasing responsibility at JP Morgan Securities, leaving the company as Executive Director of Investment Banking covering General Industries. He began his career as a Senior Tax Associate at Coopers & Lybrand L.L.P.
Jim Nickolas holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; a Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago Law School; and an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, all in the USA. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
