A brand-new dealership for New Holland in Limpopo will provide farmers throughout the province with expanded access to the full range of the company’s products and parts, with a special focus on tractors, TLBs and balers.
Located on the outskirts of Polokwane, Limpopo New Holland has made a significant investment in its facilities – sales, parts, workshops and on-farm servicing capabilities – with a view to improving customer experience across the board.
“We’ve two big advantages in becoming a New Holland dealer,” says Soutie Hollingshead, head of sales at Limpopo New Holland. “First, our dealer principals are farmers who run New Holland tractors themselves. They are New Holland enthusiasts who know the brand inside out.
“And secondly, they already run their own dealerships for one of South Africa’s biggest auto brands. It’s that experience – the attention to detail in customer service – that we want to bring to New Holland customers old and new, when they choose Limpopo for sales, parts and servicing.”
Day-to-day, the dealership comprises a team of six which includes two salesmen, a parts manager and two service technicians – both of whom come to Limpopo with immediate New Holland experience. They’ll manage a fully equipped workshop, fitted with the latest New Holland diagnostics and OBD systems. Despite Covid-19 restrictions, everyone on the team has received full New Holland training.
“The technicians will also be available on-call, working from well-equipped farm-service vehicles, to deal with customer requirements on a 24/7 basis,” says Soutie.
“We’ve assembled a highly competent and capable team, where the emphasis is on personal, individual service for every one of our customers. We know how frustrating it can be to have a dealer who takes customers for granted, which is why we’re set on bringing the ‘auto dealer experience’ to Limpopo’s farmers.”
Andrew Jonker, Head of Dealer Network Development for New Holland Agriculture Southern Africa, says: “Limpopo New Holland’s prior automotive experience, coupled with real ‘grass roots’ farming experience and enthusiasm for the New Holland brand, makes them the perfect brand ambassador for New Holland in this important farming area.
“This is a region characterised by smaller farms, everything from maize and potatoes to cattle farming. Limpopo is full of committed, forward-thinking farmers – up and coming, as they seize the opportunity to improve productivity with increased mechanisation.
“Limpopo already enjoys good relationships with many of these farmers, through their automotive
prowess, and we’re delighted that the New Holland product range will be represented by such an enthusiastic, agriculturally aware team.”
