The 2023 Xinjiang Agricultural Machinery Expo was held at Xinjiang International Convention and Exhibition Center in Urumqi on the 25th of May, under the theme "Smart Agriculture, Intelligent Agricultural Machinery, and Agricultural and Rural Modernization". There were over 600 domestic and foreign enterprises and over 6,000 exhibitors that showcased the agricultural machinery.
Xinjiang is a major agricultural region in China. In 2022, 85.7% of the work in the agricultural industry in this region was done with machinery, while the percentage for forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery industries was 71%. The advanced agricultural machine can strongly support rural modernization.

Case IH Axial-Flow® combine harvesters are known for high horsepower, flexibility, and low grain damage rate. The Axial-Flow 4099 harvester that was displayed at the expo is powered by Efficient Power FPT Industrial 6.7 liter engines. The in-line 6-cylinder engine provides strong power and could deliver up to 260 horsepower.
The grain-on-grain threshing action of Axial-Flow minimizes the loss of grains and ensures that the grains are unbruised and unbroken. Additionally, the Cross Flow® cleaning system follows the separation process by using chevron-shaped fins to create a higher cleaning capacity.
The 6,500L grain tank can unload the grain easily and precisely. In addition, the 5500 Series corn headers are specifically designed for Axial-Flow. These headers ensure a low loss rate, and good feeding performance, and offer consistent chop length and even spreading
Smart agriculture for modernization
Case IH local solutions was presented at the expo along with other products. Precision technology, technical equipment for smart farming, and local aftermarket auto-steering system or “PowerSteer” received great attention from the participants in the event. The PowerSteer system features GPS, GLONASS, and other multi-satellite systems with high accuracy of up to 2.5 cm. This system is affordable, and simple to install. It is easy to control and provides accurate positioning.
Starting from 2000, Xinjiang Agricultural Machinery Expo has been successfully held 22 times. It is a major annual agricultural machinery event, which has been widely recognized by local farmers.
