After more than two years in the COVID wilderness, AgQuip is back and Case IH has big product plans

Australia’s biggest field day, AgQuip, returns after a two-year hiatus later this month and exhibitor Case IH is planning for some big reveals, keen to be back in front of customers after such a significant break.

Case IH General Manager AU/NZ Pete McCann said his team and the local Case IH dealers were looking forward to finally being able to introduce customers to some new products that had entered the market recently.

“AgQuip has always been an important date in the calendar for Case IH so it’s great to finally be able to return to Gunnedah, and we look forward to helping the organisers mark the 50th anniversary of this event. We’ve enjoyed coming here for many years, and congratulate them on this important milestone,” Pete said.

“The pandemic has stopped a lot of things in its tracks over the past few years, but it hasn’t stopped our brand from continuing to enhance our product line-up for the benefit of all our customers, no matter the size or type of ag business they run.”
Headlining this year’s Case IH site is the new Patriot 50 Series sprayer, the first time the public have had the chance to see the next generation in the iconic Patriot range.

“It’s an exciting expansion of our self-propelled application equipment line-up with three new models – the Patriot 3250, 4350, and 4450. This has been a comprehensive re-design of one of our flagship models and the benefits are obvious from the first time you sit in the cab: more comfortable to operate, complete vehicle control, and technology features offered for the first time in the Patriot,” said Case IH AU/NZ Product Manager Patriot Sprayers, Jason Wood.

Supporting the launch as well will be Patriot Global Product Manager Brent Bast, who is making the trip to Gunnedah and who has been instrumental in the development of the new 50 Series.

Case IH will also have the newly-launched Farmlift 742 Telescopic Loader at AgQuip, brought to the local market in response to the demand from producers for a telehandler to be added to Case IH’s product offering.

“This is the first time we’ve offered a telescopic loader in this market, a great example of seeking solutions by adding new products when we can,” said Andrew Wood, Case IH AU/NZ Product Specialist for Hay and Harvest. “With a maximum lift capacity of 4200kg and a lift height up to 7m, the Farmlift 742 Telescopic Loader takes farming to the next level when it comes to moving heavy loads.”

On the tractor front, Case IH will be showcasing the Stage V Puma, officially launched to the Australian and New Zealand market last year, and the new additions to the Farmall JXM range, an addition based on the needs of the hobby farmer and leisure market.
Case IH Product Manager for Optum, Puma and Sugar, Lawrence Polga, said Case IH dealerships now had good stock levels of the new Puma and it ticked all the boxes for customers after a versatile tractor suited to a range of tasks, but with an advanced suite of telematics that enhanced both its performance and useability.

“The Puma has for a long time been one of our most popular tractors due to its versatility and reliability, but the Stage V evolution of this tractor redefines this range, giving customers automation options previously only available in the higher horsepower sector of the Case line-up,” Lawrence said.

Customers will be welcomed back by Case IH at several special events this year, with a breakfast on Wednesday, August 17, to officially launch the new Patriot, and an evening drinks function on the Tuesday.

The popular Case IH Advanced Farming Systems (AFS) simulators are also back, allowing visitors a front-row seat to the technology opportunities at their fingertips.

“The absence of our field day calendar in the past few years has only shown just how important these events are to the agricultural sector and the interaction between ag businesses and their customers, and to the economies of the communities who host these events,” Pete said.

“AgQuip 2022 is promising to be a real celebration for exhibitors, organisers and customers alike and we’re both happy and proud to be part of it.”
